On 18th of march I collapsed, it turned into and ambulance job to hospital.. That's was a little disturbing but I got to Connolly hospital and was wheeled in past all those waiting, bloods taken ECG carried out then there was a wait... Then it all went very quickly, bloods where back and I was rushed in to emergency room where X-rays where taken and I was jabbed in drugs. My results showed that my blood levels where 13x higher than they should be so I was immediately treated for blood clots.
I was then taken to ICU on the conary care ward, and had 1/2 obs for the next 12 hrs.
I was then transferred into another conary care ward where I was well liked after. Within hours I had a CT scan which revelled I had two large blood clots one on each lung. The respiratory professor was at the end of my bed telling me how very lucky I was that they caught it when they did it could have been a very different out come.
I was very well looked after for 5 days when finally on the 6th I was allowed home to my wonderful family.
It's a long road but they did look after me
"Great care and service "
