"Dochas clubhouse"

About: Sligo Leitrim Mental Health Services

(as a service user),

I went to the Dochas club house on Monday Morning after school drop because I wanted to just go back to bed again. I cried and had a cup of tea, chatted , helped with the meeting ,and saw a notice  for self care training on Tuesday.  Rosaleen got me an appointment with Phil in leader social inclusion and I cried in that meeting too. Tuesday morning after school drop I went to the Grow meeting had some lunch at the club house and we went to the self care training. I had an appointment with my DBT therapist this morning and went to second session of self care and back to the clubhouse. I have great support rom the Dochas clubhouse. The information networking is excellent. The DBT therapy is excellent. On Sunday morning I was heading fast towards suicidal ideation again ,  but happy to say I broke the spiral this time. Thank you to all my supports.

Dear Hilarious,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience attending all of the support services you refer to, particularly the Dochas clubhouse. I telephoned Rosaleen (Acting Manager, Dochas Clubhouse) today to tell her about your story and she was really pleased that your experience of the clubhouse is such a positive one.

I wish you well in your recovery journey.

Kind regards,

Joanne
