Attending programme for families and friends-very worthwhile so far....

Just concerned that APP funding is being ended in the south Donegal area-why?

It provides vital motivation and support for the users, so important to get them 'back on track'.

Will it be replaced by something else?

Hi Christina

First may I thank you for taking the time to post your story on Care Opinion it is of great benefit to us in shaping services and listening to what our clients and their families and carers are telling us.

The decision to cease funding for the south Donegal APP programme was not one made by Sligo Leitrim Mental Health Services, it does mean however that funds must now be found from within SLMHS to continue with the programme. I am working with my clinical colleagues in the south Donegal, north Leitrim Community Mental Health Team to get the programme back running so clients have this important support available to them again.
