Care Opinion together with the HSE would like to invite you to a launch of Care Opinion as the online platform for public feedback about mental health services in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

Care Opinion has been available to health services across Ireland for some years. To date, mental health services in Sligo and Leitrim have been the pioneers in adopting online user feedback and using it to prompt learning and service improvements.

Interest has now spread to mental health services in Donegal, where staff are beginning to invite people to post feedback about their care.

Online launch event

5 May, 2pm - 3:40pm

Listening to patients, learning to improve

We are running an online launch event (via Zoom) on 5 May at 2pm. The event is open to  any staff, service users, patients, relatives and voluntary sector organisations who want to learn more about online feedback.

As well as an overview of how Care Opinion works with services, there will be input from a research perspective, and from staff leading this roll out. We want to see a good range of people coming along, with different perspectives and hopes for this work.

The programme will be:

2-3pm: Our speakers:

  • Dr James Munro, CEO, Care Opinion
  • Dr Ed O’Mahony, Executive Clinical Director, Sligo/Leitrim mental health services
  • Dr Ann O’Brien, National University of Ireland/Galway
  • Dr Maura Finnegan, Principal Clinical Psychologist, Donegal MH Services

3pm: A 10-minute comfort break

3:10-3:40pm: Questions and discussion, followed by "next steps" with Patrick Nwaokorie, Area Lead for Mental Health Engagement, HSE, and Tim Hunt, Integration Development Manager, Care Opinion.

To reserve a place please email tracy.molloy@careopinion.org.uk. You will then be sent a Zoom link for the event.
