"Pregnancy check up"

About: Rotunda Hospital Rotunda Hospital / Antenatal

(as the patient),

Hi, I am 7 month old pregnant, and one of the morning I have seen some blood in my underwear, so I rang my hospital, and I was advised to go immediately. I got there, but they did not really check me up, they just said I have to get an Anti-D injection, as my blood type is rhesus negative.

My Husband blood type is rhesus negative, and I did prove it with a certificate. They did not bother with it. They said it will be ok. But it wasn't. I was still bleeding, same procedure I did again, and result was the same.

Then one of my friends referred me to a private clinic, which is run by eastern European doctors. I went there, and their gynaecologist checked me thoroughly regarding my problem. He gave me proper answer for my questions, and also what to do with my bleeding. Got some prescription, and few days later my problem has gone, and since then I do not have a problem.

I am just wondering, why the pregnancy care provided in Ireland is not the same as in many European country? And I am not talking about the private hospital services. Thank You
