"Poor after care"

About: Connolly Memorial Connolly Memorial / Cardiology

(as the patient),

In March 2014 I was admitted to Blanchardstown hospital with By lateral PE's on my lungs. I was told in the hospital that it was essential I had a full screening from Haematology to ascertain the route cause. Since March I have been on warfarin.

I currently have an unstable INR and taking 10mg of warfarin a day, which has its side effects. Sure after all warfarin is "rat poison".

I again contacted the hospital today (August 2014) and was told I was on the routine waiting list which will be at least March/April 2015 before I get and Appointment. This leaves me taking a drug that is very sensitive to every day life, food, drink, hair falls outs! and god forbid if I have an accident and cut myself, because my bodies ability to clot is very slow because the warfarin and the level of dosage I'm on.

So tell me, I'm 39 years old with 3 kids, and very lucky to be alive.. yet its going to take over a year to find the route cause!
