"Car Park Charges"

My relative is currently in Tallaght Hospital where he is receiving good care and it is essential that I spend as much time as possible with him. I rang and was advised that the 7 day ticket costs €30 BUT if one left during the day and returned that would be counted as a trip or if a family wanted to take turns in the same day it could be used within two days. To clarify what the employee told me was that a 7 day ticket was in fact a 7 trip ticket. None of that makes sense to me. In James Connolly for €20, the ticket is dated for the full week and one can come and go and swop between family members as required. WHY, do people make life so difficult at a time when you need the small stuff to work.
