About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Crisis Resolution Team

(as a service user),

Severe head cold Infection triggered my pychosis. This is my 4th episode due to infections & certain meds. 

GP referral to Crisis Resolution Team provided professional supported care at home. This service facilitated friendly support, privacy, reassurance, therefore reducing stress for me and my family. Over the next week meds were introduced, monitored by the team, and when feeling better meds reduced gradually. 
The Crisis Resolution Team once improved tranfered care back to community mental health team. 
The Crisis Resolution Team is a brilliant service. Friendly and professional care at home, reducing the need to present to A&E.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback which is much appreciated. We are all glad that you and your family found the service helpful and professional, and that you have made good progress. You are right in highlighting the Crisis Team as an option rather than attending A&E, being seen and treated at home is much less stressful and promotes recovery.
