After a few weeks of feeling really low, I decided to reach out to the crisis team. The medication I was on just wasn’t helping, and that’s when they stepped in. Honestly, I don’t have the words to explain how much their support meant to me. For two weeks, they came to see me at home every single day, and that care made such a difference.
I especially want to thank Hughie and Gerard. Hughie kept in touch with both me and my mum all the time. He gave me great advice, and the reassurance he gave my mum was just as important. Gerard was so kind and patient — he was always there to listen and support me through those tough days. He helped me see my own strength, and for that, I’ll always be grateful. I’d also like to thank Joan for checking up on me too.
Now, I feel so much stronger and more hopeful. I’ve come out the other side with more confidence in myself, and I have learned tools to keep moving forward. I’ll never forget the support I received, and I’m truly thankful for the difference it’s made in my life.
