"Received genuine care and support"

About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Crisis Resolution Team

(as the patient),

I attempted to take my own life, after I was in the hospital a team from the crisis centre came to talk to me. We arranged daily meeting over the next 15 days to discuss what happened, why it happened and ways to deal with it. I was given a lot of information (phone numbers, websites, self help care etc) so if I ever felt like I was heading in that direction again I now have the resources I need. Each member of staff was very friendly, they listened without judgment and gave me great advice. I can’t thank everyone at the services enough and I feel like I’m in a much stronger place now. and clearer in my thoughts.
