"I felt relevant again"

About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Crisis Resolution Team

(as a service user),

I had taken an overdose after years of mental health issues, and then a very bad spell, I was overwhelmed and couldn’t cope anymore.

Upon being brought to a and e and then being discharged, I was met by the crisis team daily, without the support and kindness from them all, I wouldn’t have got on track again as quick as I did.

I’m beyond grateful for all the support the team gave me, they helped and made me feel listened to. I felt relevant again.

I think the service should be made nationwide
