"Simply an amazing service - I would not be the same person I am today without them"

I started attending CAMHS in Donegal Town about a year ago after going through a severe rough patch in my life. 

From the first time I stepped in there, I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. I saw two different clinicians and five consultants over my time there and they all had valuable advice from different perspectives. 

They were always so supportive and helpful and their main focus was me and my needs. Any of my appointments were scheduled around my school timetable and it felt like I was involved with the process the whole way through.

With respect to medications and prescriptions, it was always my opinion that mattered most and every doctor respected that.

My parents were also involved in all of these decisions and of course, being a paediatric service, they had the final say.

Now, after my 18th birthday and discharge I can live my life with the skills to deal with anything that comes my way and the knowledge that there is always someone who can do something meaningful to help you.
