All throughout my life, I experienced paranoia and was terrified of the most random things. Daily life would be difficult because I was always suspicious of everyone and everything. The worst times for me were definitely at night, I was too scared to leave my room even for basic human needs.
Since January of 2023, I started attending CAMHS and my lovely therapist has been helping me work through my paranoid & catastrophic thoughts. It’s been very helpful and I’ve noticed I’m less scared doing basic things like staying at home alone. I also was referred for an ASD assessment, which I didn’t even realise I could have. Overall, my quality of life has improved since I started going.
