About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Crisis Resolution Team

(as the patient),

I was assigned to the Crisis Resolution Team, Sligo Leitrim Mental Health Services this year.

I can honestly say their help and assistance was so welcoming, and reassuring. The team were very professional and very understanding. They even came out on home visits to chat with me and check up on me, which was much appreciated at the time, and was life changing at the time to me too.

I'd highly recommend this service, and I hope it is made available to more people in the community. Thank you to each and every one of them that contacted me in person and by phone. Your help has been invaluable to me.

Thank you very much for your feedback, the team always appreciate hearing how people have experienced the service, and we are pleased that you found our support and interventions helpful and reassuring.

The Crisis Resolution Team are available to the whole Sligo Leitrim Mental Health Service catchment area (that’s counties Sligo, Leitrim, South Donegal and West Cavan), and we are happy to take referrals from GPs and Community Mental Health Teams. The service is aimed at those people who might benefit from a short period of intensive support to keep them out of hospital and the Emergency Dept when they are experiencing a mental health crisis.
