"The Mental Health team in Manorhamilton positive experience"

I was finally diagnosed by an Excellent -(Empathetic, kind, friendly, and understanding ) Consultant on November /25/2022 with BPD/OCD/Depressive Disorder after a long time of struggling with mental health. 

The Consultant and her Team have been and are an excellent support to me. 

The Team facilitated the Decider Skills Group support where we had the opportunity to learn skills what are evidence-based practice to help us in crisis and in general life. 

The Psychiatric Nurses in Manorhamilton created safe a and respectful environment for us to learn these important skills, a positive and supportive attitude with a gentle approach and a good sense of humour, where we could freely express ourselves. 

The Decider Skills Group support has significantly improved my life to better and my loved ones too, I was sceptical at first but from personal experience, I can say it is working and it reduces significantly self-destructive behaviour and generally helped me with most aspects of my life. 

Decider Skills are a blend of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy&Dialectivave Behaviour Therapy together, This is my Bible now or tool while I am in distress, Dysregulated etc. 

The medication , Good discipline with the Decider Skills is a great combination for me to function and sleep well However good healthy diet exercise , and self-care are part of it. 

I feel I am receiving the right treatment, People with my diagnosis deserve a chance and we are getting it in Manorhamilton Mental Health. 

By receiving this support not only I benefit but my family, friends and generally our society. 

Decider Skills reduce suicide attempts and this way we all benefit as a society and healthcare workers. 

I feel that I am in good hands the Consultant and nurses are very helpful, kind, respectful and excellent listeners! 

I do feel we need more clinical psychologists.

They really want to help but it has to be both ways They created an opportunity, a safe space for me to learn and the rest is up to me, I have to claim the Mountain myself they ‘provided me with a good pair of boots ‘ to claim the Mountain!
