(as the patient),

I have been struggling for years with my mental health. Anxiety and panic attacks on a regular basis. 

I have very bad health anxiety due to a few health conditions not related to my mental health. 

I joined Park View Day Hospital in Letterkenny through referral from the community mental health team. 

I was made feel so welcome and never judged or embarrassed to speak about my issues. The team here are fantastic. I learnt a lot about anxiety management. How to cope with panic attacks and how to help myself through my anxiety and panic with different techniques.

Thank you for sharing your experience here. My name is Ruairí O'Neill and I am the Clinical Nurse Manager at Park View House. I'm sorry for the delay in my reply as I wasn't registered on Care Opinion and recently received an update from a colleague advising me of your feedback.

I'm delighted to read that you felt welcome and that you could engage with the team here. As you know anxiety can seriously impact our confidence and ability to cope. Understanding what's happening and techniques to use can equip us with options to manage it, and without support we wouldn't know these options are available to us.
