"Eolas Family support programme"

I have completed an 8 week online programme called Eolas. It is set up here in Sligo by Regina to support families who are caring for a loved one who is dealing with psychosis, I have found the programme amazing and so informative. Every week we had an hour and a half session with Regina (social worker) and a supporting family member along with various professionals who helped in areas such as a pharmaceuticals which helped us understand things like medication far better than before and personally made a huge improvement in my fiancés life.

I am supporting my fiancé and at times it has been extremely isolating, this programme helped me feel less isolated as I could relate to many of the other families and could express my feelings and concerns in a non judgemental space. This programme has mas me feel much more capable of caring for him and myself and child. I would love to see this programme set up all around Ireland as I have extended family members who are dealing with psychosis and they could benefit from it hugely. It is a shame that it is now completed but I sincerely want to thank everyone who was involved in it as I has made an enormous positive change in my families lives.
