"Long wait for scared son "

My son had a bad fall at home and got a bad bang and lump on back of his head. He started to get very sleepy, after ringing doctor we were told bring him straight to hospital.

We checked into A&E at 5 and had to wait which is fine, people came and went and we were still waiting we hadn't even seen a nurse 3 hours later. We approached the desk a few times but got no joy. As night came more and more patients arrived and one man was intoxicated and kept drinking in the waiting area. He caused a scene and argued with his family, he vomited outside the door and kept drinking and swearing all in front of our 8 year old son. I certainly don't mind waiting., I understand that but feel not being seen for what was 6 and half hours by even one nurse was not right. Thankfully he was fine when checked by nurse and doctor so outcome was OK but it certainly scared my son.
