About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services

(as a service user),

In Carrick-on-Shannon, Drumshanbo and Mohill mental health service.. the waiting time for the clinic is crazy, every time your waiting more than 2 -3 hours to see the consultant for less than 10 minutes.. Also over 30 people at a clinic on the same day

Dear Laura

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your experience of attending clinics in Carrick-on-Shannon,, Drumshanbo and Mohill. I am sorry that you have had to wait up to 2-3 hours to be seen by your Consultant for less than 10 minutes and I wish to apologise to you.

I have brought your concerns to our Community Mental Health Team. We are currently looking at methods of reducing the number of people attending the clinics, which will have a positive impact on reducing the waiting time and increase the length of time spent with our Consultant. This will benefit all people who attend the various clinics..

Thank you for providing your feedback and once again I do apologise for the length of clinic waiting time.
