I have been attending Liscarney House for some months. During my time I have found all members of staff to be so helpful, especially my keyworker who listened to me, helped me and gave me confidence especially when you are coming away from having a breakdown. With all members of staff in Liscarney House i was met with sensitivity and professionalism. It is a great facility to have for all service users who need it so badly.

Some of my concerns would be some days there is very little car parking places for service users attending, it can be problematic especially when clinic days are on. To improve things about the Day hospital programme it would be helpful if clients got more information regarding their medication and side effects.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your experiences of attending the Acute Day Hospital in Liscarney House. I am glad that it was able to provide the support you needed at the time you needed it most and hopefully assist you with your recovery.

The multidisciplinary team approach provides attendees with an opportunity to engage in both group and individual therapy as well as actively encouraging participation in your own care and recovery. Peer support and social engagement have also been identified as being helpful benifits of day hospital attendance. Everyone has an identified key worker and it is reassuring to know that you benifited from a professional and supportive therapeutic relationship with yours.

I note the issues that you have raised about parking spaces and this has been included in our service business plan, so hopefully further parking spaces will be available to us in the near future.

Medication plays an important part in ones' recovery and both information leaflets and a medication management group are available within the day hospital,; the medication management group however may not always be on the days of your attendance.

Key workers have a strong understanding of specific medications and it may be useful to voice any concerns about medications with them (or on medical review). A senior pharmacist is also available to acces with specific concerns about medications and arranging time with her could be arranged again via the key worker.
