"Mental Health Services for older People, Liscarney House, Day Hospital, Sligo"

About: Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services / Sligo Leitrim Psychiatry of Later Life

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have been attending liscarney House, sligo, for the past number of months. during my time there, i found the staff most helpful, caring and provided a welcoming, friendly and warm atmosphere.

My situation was treated with sensitivity and professionalism. I always looked forward to my days in liscarney House. My recovery was slow but sure and i can now look back with fond memories of the staff and wonderful people i met there with gratitude and great hope for myself and everyone who has the privilege of attending the services, which are top class in Liscarney House.

From my experience there i didnt find anything unhelpful about the service, therefore i dont think theres any need for improvement. All of you as a team are doing a fine job.

Dear "With Gratitude" thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences of the support and therapeutic interventions you received when you were attending Liscarney House, Acute Day Hospital. I am delighted to hear that the staff were able to provide the help you needed at a time you needed it most.

Recovery from ill-health is indeed a slow and difficult journey and the support you receive from those around you-friends, family, peers and professionals- is essential in providing the stable foundation required for you to build up confidence and develop coping skills that protect you and give you hope for a more contented future.

The staff at Liscarney House will continue to look to improve the service so that all who attend have the best possible outcomes. Thanks again for your kind words and I wish you well in your recovery. Best wishes, Kevin.
