"Eolas Programme Sligo Mental Health Service"

About: Sligo Adult Community Mental Health Services

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Feedback from a Parent who attended the Eolas programme in Sligo recently was:

“The most valuable aspect of the Eolas Programme for me was that I got to meet other people who have family members who are unwell. I learnt from them. You realise you are not alone. We found out about medication, how it is used and how it helps treat the illness”.

NOTE: The EOLAS programme involves two mental health information and learning programmes, one for persons with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder and another for their families and friends. Both programmes are available in the Sligo/Leitrim/South DonegalWest Cavan Mental Health Services.

Dear Parent,

I am glad to hear that you found the EOLAS programme useful, both from the information point of view and also in the connection with others.

Thank you for sharing your experience - I hope the programme is a help both to you and your family member in the future.

All the best,

Martin
