I was admitted some weeks ago as an inpatient. I was feeling very unwell and knew that I needed help. My family were very upset and the staff in the hospital supported myself and my family.
I had a room to myself which was very helpful and helped me to relax. Everyone of the nurses talked to me and this put me at ease and helped me to talk about my worries, we also had some laughs. Now I know there is a service that is there for me if I need it.
The food was beautiful and the service is great. I enjoyed helping tidy away the stuff in the kitchen for two weeks or more with one of the household staff, I got a lovely glass of orange juice at the end of the cleaning up.
I was feeling so down and worrying about everything but started to feel better after talking to the doctors and nurses. I then found it very helpful to come to Liscarney House, we had great chats and some laughs. I found the breathing exercises fantastic.
In the beginning, I was nervous not knowing anyone but that changed over the weeks. I wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital and Liscarney House. I am starting to embrace life again with my family.
Thank you.
