"Brought 5 year old son to Sligo Hospital with unknown allergic reaction"

Son had unknown allergic reaction. Face and hands started to swell. Brought to A&E just before seven pm. Saw Triage Nurse was told I must wait. Sons face and arms continued to swell. I asked for someone to at least look at him as I was concerned about his airways closing. At 11 pm his breathing became laboured and short as airways were closing. I became upset and begged someone to look at him. Nurse arrived in with a steroid and antihistamine which she asked me to administer. Son fell asleep eventually on floor of A&E until a member of staff offerd a couch in a family room to him. We eventually saw a doctor at 6am the following day.
