I find Liscarney House great and relaxing. I find that the staff are very helpful and I like socialising with other service users. I enjoy playing boardgames in Liscarney with others.

I was nervous the first day but after that I look forward to coming in. Staff were lovely in all departments. Very easy to communicate with staff and service users. Hearing other's experiences helped me.

Liscarney is very good I think nothing could be improved as we get transport, dinners, and the staff are excellent

Dear Hotelez86, thank you for your feedback about your engagement with and experience of Liscarney House acute day hospital. There is always a little anxiety when you initially agree to attend somewhere you have never been before but it is gratifying to hear that the staff helped you feel comfortable and supported at a time when you needed it. The environment certaintly contributes to how we feel and staff and the other clients that attend may be seen as the greatest environmental influencers. Thank you for pointing out the benefit you gained from other clients sharing their experiences. This peer support and sharing is an important therapeutic process and one the team promotes. Part of the day hospital programme promotes social engagement and inclusion through non-threatening activities such as team games and quizzes and whilst these are enjoyable to participate in, they help us connect with others in a more confident and meaningful way.
